A small family
business in Hamilton.
LaserMarx is a small family business that does one thing properly: laser marking and engraving, on just about any material. No call centre and no hand-offs. The person you talk to is the design engineer who draws up your job, checks it against your specs and runs the laser.
You might know us as ILMS, Industrial Laser Marking Solutions. Same workshop, same people, same lasers, and now a name that's our own.

Do you do one-offs?
Yes. One piece or a full production run, low or high volume, every job gets the same attention.
What do I need to send you?
Whatever you've got. A CAD file, a logo, a spreadsheet of serial numbers, a sketch or a photo of the part. If you don't have a drawing, we'll draw it up in CAD.
Can you mark parts I already have?
Yes. Marking customers' own parts is a big part of what we do. Get in touch first so we can check the material and set up the job.
Will the mark wear off?
No. A laser mark is part of the surface, not printed on top of it, so it won't rub off, peel or fade the way ink and stickers do.
Can every part get its own serial number or QR code?
Yes. Send a spreadsheet and every part gets its own serial number, batch code, barcode or QR code.
How long does a job take?
It depends on the job and how many you need. Tell us your deadline when you ask for a quote and we'll tell you straight away whether we can make it.
Do you make trophies for clubs and events?
Yes. Trophies, medals and plaques, designed in CAD, laser-cut from layered acrylic and engraved with names, dates and logos.
